just a short post on my work in progress for my kimonos.....have been waiting for quite awhile before i can start painting my obi since the fabric paint took awhile to arrive in SG.... fyi, obi is the "belt" to tie around the waist when wearing kimono/yukata...

above is the character i want to cosplay, lovely girl right???... ermmm.. if i didnt mention before, i do cosplay... not the super pro kind though..... again... i had a hard time finding similar design cloth for the kimono but painting everything is just too troublesome so i just make do with somewhat similar design cloth... but for obi is really difficult... so had to paint....

first i painted the big flower... need at least 3 layers to cover up the base colour...

now... i would say it is looking good... of cause it isnt perfect cause i am not very good with painting but i think good enough for me........ i think need at least 1 more coat of gold before finishing up the outlines with sparkling fabric paint to give a more 3D effect =)
