airlines promotion

want to share with you guys some good deals for travel..... in case you all miss out the advertisements, SQ and cathay are having great sales!!!! i know is common for cathay to have discounted tickets every 3 months but for SQ, it is harder to get since ALOT of days are included as black out period... *roll eyes*.....

i am quite a fan of cathay because of their affordable ticket prices... like recently when i went back to HK during may... the ticket only cost $284 or something... like how cheap can it get?!??!?! sometimes even the budget airline cost more than that!!! and the good thing is that cathay is very genuine in their offer in the sense that if the travel dates fall within those school holiday period, promotion fare still apply but need additional $50/ticket... that's a fair deal.... i am always very pissed off with some airlines such as SQ which put black out period=no discount for tickets... like wth.... what's the point of having promotion period when only afew days is applicable for the discounted price...

BUT..... irritating thing aside..... i managed to book SQ for my honeymoon trip wor!!!! my itinerary is 30th Dec 2014 to narita then 13th Jan 2015 back from osaka & total price (with tax + surcharge included) at $732.60!!!! of cause there are cheaper airlines available but i think for this price is a really good deal for SQ!!!! but the catch is that the maximum stay is 14days so we cant have a longer holiday =(  if travel on the same date, cathay will be slightly cheaper, perhaps about $680 but i am kind of lazy to do the transit in hk.... want to maximize the time spent... so spent an extra $50 or so....
